Mission Beach Tattoo is a walk-in tattoo shop at 3215 Mission Blvd in San Diego, right across from Belmont Park. We’ve been tattooing at this same spot since 1997. You don’t need an appointment to come in, look at the flash on the walls, and talk to an artist about what you want.
How walk-ins work
Come in, tell us your idea, and we’ll go from there. Whether we can start right away depends on how many people are in the shop, how big and detailed the design is, and the artists’ schedules. Small and simple pieces are the easiest to get done the same day. Bigger custom work usually needs a little planning, so it’s worth talking it through first. If you’d rather line something up ahead of time, you can reach out through our contact page.
What to bring
- A reference image or an idea of the design you like.
- A rough size and where on your body you want it.
- A valid ID. We have age and ID requirements.
- An open mind. Your artist may suggest changing the size or details so the tattoo holds up over time.
Good tattoos for a walk-in
Small traditional pieces, flash designs, simple lettering, matching tattoos and vacation tattoos all work well for a walk-in. Traditional is our specialty, and you can read more on our tattoo styles page.
